This is the app I always go to first. It provides so many free or reasonably priced places to camp. We love municipal campgrounds and they are often hard to find. With this app we can easily find them along our route.

Great map feature. Just hit the blue arrow and it shows you all the potential spots near you. Move the map to see ahead and pick a site on down the road. Planning a few days ahead? Hit the list button and search for the town you want to stop in. Information is complete and up to date. Love this app!!

I use this app daily when I'm on the road, which is 5 to 7 months per year. I'm not a big fan of private campgrounds, so it's perfect that Ultimate Campgrounds locates and profiles public facilities. The details, especially the elevations, are great. I need elevations so I can quickly predict highs and lows instead of having to search climate and elevation data for each campground. Really, I love this app and recommend it most highly. Need a shower? UC sets you up. Want hook ups? Want to call the campground? Need pricing info? Want directions? UC provides the info. Oh my gosh, I just used the Weather button for the first time. Stellar! Now if I only had a clue about lat/long coordinates :)

I'm retired, small income, like solitude, and prefer publicly owned camping areas. This app is perfect. The links included with each camping area actually works.
